Household income may not exceed the LIHTC limits below (effective 5/2026; updated annually). Gross monthly income must also be at least 2× your monthly portion of the rent.

Program Oversight
The LIHTC program at Alexander Place is monitored by the Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC), which ensures compliance with federal guidelines and resident protections.
Application Process
Every household member 18 or older applies and is screened for identification, income, credit, rental history, and criminal background. A non-refundable screening fee applies to each applicant. Once approved, a refundable security deposit ($150 one-bedroom, $200 two-bedroom) is due before move-in; certain credit results require an additional half month’s rent. If income is not sufficient, a qualified guarantor may be accepted. Our team will walk you through every step — no guesswork required.

Our waiting list is always open. Applicants are selected first-come, first-served, with accessible units offered first to households who need their features.

Alexander Place is a pet-free community. Qualified service and assistance animals are always welcome and are not subject to pet restrictions.
